General Marketing & Team Support (40%)

  • Supports the team by assisting with planning and overseeing of company and employee related events.
  • When called upon, represents the department at marketing industry insurance industry and other public and community events and activities.
  • Conceptualizes, develops and implements marketing and agency related materials to promote Island’s brand and programs to its target audiences, agents, agency partners, policyholders and general public.
  • Supports the implementation of the corporate marketing and agency relations plan.
  • Collaborates with team to create and manage marketing and agency relations materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital assets.
  • Works along with other Marketing Consultants and outside venders to facilitate appropriate marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Takes on supervisory responsibilities when called upon.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, proposals and presentations as requested.
  • Provides marketing support to all company departments which promotes and supports the company’s business goals and strategies.
  • Responds promptly to all inquiries and requests made by company supervisors and the Executive Leadership team.
  • When called upon, represents the department at marketing industry, insurance industry, and other public and community events and activities.
  • Supports the team by assisting other Marketing Consultants with promotional, company, and community events and activities.
  • Participates in seminars and classes for knowledge and professional development.
  • Provides support to other Tradewind Group affiliates as directed.

Media & Internet Marketing (35%)

  • Oversees creation and management of the company’s social media accounts and internet marketing opportunities.
  • Oversees development and maintenance of company intranet platform.
  • Social Media & Marketing Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Creates and implements comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and online reputation.
  • Monitors social media trends, tools, and applications to optimize content strategies and engagement across platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Collaborates with product development teams (Commercial lines, Personal lines and IC International) to market new insurance products.
  • Creates and implements marketing strategies to promote and educate agents and customers about new offerings.
  • Stays updated on social media trends and emerging platforms to keep company’s strategy current.
  • Social Media Account Management:
  • Oversees the daily management of social media accounts, including posting, scheduling, and responding to comments and messages.
  • Ensures brand consistency in tone, voice, and terminology across all social media channels.
  • Content Creation and Curation:
  • Develops engaging and relevant content tailored to specific social media platforms.
  • Curates content from industry news, thought leaders, and influencers to share on company social channels, fostering community and thought leadership.
  • Develops and produces training videos and materials for internal teams and agencies.
  • Designs and conducts agent satisfaction surveys to gather feedback and insights.
  • Analyze surveys results and recommend improvements bases on findings.
  • Internet Marketing, Website Management, and SEO:
  • Implements and optimizes paid social media and internet advertising campaigns.
  • Develops and executes internet marketing campaigns that leverage SEO, PPC, email marketing, and content marketing to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Oversees the updating, maintenance and optimization of the company website.
  • Manages website design and functionality improvements, including user experience enhancements.
  • Ensures website content is up-to-date, relevant and aligned with Marketing/Agency Relations goals.
  • Analyzes website and social media analytics to improve search engine rankings and drive targeted traffic to company websites and social media profiles.
  • Media Relations and PR:
  • Builds and maintains relationships with media contacts, PR firms, and influencers to secure media coverage and collaborative opportunities in furtherance of promoting and maintaining Island Insurance’s brand.
  • Works with graphic production vendors, public relations companies and researches companies to ensure that quality standards, budgets and deadlines are maintained.
  • Develops promotional partnerships with public relations vendors and develop and execute public relations strategies focused on building relationships with agency partners and individual agents.
  • Coordinates media outreach and manages press releases and other external communications.
  • Drafts and distributes press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to promote the company’s initiatives and successes.
  • Develops print and other advertising media, when appropriate, to promote Island’s programs.
  • Campaign Analysis and Reporting:
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports on the performance of social media, marketing campaigns, and internet marketing efforts, using data-driven insights to optimize future strategies.
  • Provides regular reports to management on social media and online marketing performance, including key metrics.
  • Crisis Management and Response:
  • Monitors social media channels for potential reputational risks and develops strategies for mitigating negative publicity or customer concerns.
  • Quickly responds to emerging crises or negative comments to protect and enhance the company’s reputation.

Budget Preparation & Management (15%)

  • Prepares annual budget resource allocation relating to Media, which will be utilized in overall Marketing/Agency Relations annual budget.
  • Handles monthly administration of budget, including, but not limited to, expense verification, monthly budget review and overall resource allocation for agency relations.
  • Tracks expenses, analyze cost-effectiveness, and ensure budget compliance.
  • Assists in development and management of overall Marketing/Agency Relations department budget.

Customer Service (10%)

  • Displays a positive, cooperative, and service-oriented attitude when dealing with agencies, insureds, employees, and other stakeholders within the company.
  • Promotes the economic, social, and political interests of Island Insurance in the community.
  • Addresses concerns that are raised with empathy and compassion, aiming to quickly resolve issues. Escalate complex issues to your supervisor and/or Executive Leadership team as necessary.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually
